Visit with Astronorte the largest telescopes in the world installed on the peaks of La Palma.
You will learn about the science that is done in the La Palma astrophysical complex, visiting the dome of the largest optical and infrared telescope in the world; the Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC). You will also visit the Large Size Telescope (LST-Cherenkov) and the MAGIC telescopes, capable of capturing the high energies coming from the Universe.
* The activity has a total duration of 2 hours, and it is a guided visit to the telescopes during the day, it is not a night astronomical observation. If you are interested in a night observation book here.

To enjoy the 50% discount on your entrance to the Roque de Los Muchachos Visitor Center, you must present your purchase ticket at the Center itself, within 7 days after the day of the visit activity contracted with Astronorte. The Roque de Los Muchachos Visitor Center only accepts payments by bank card.

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE ACTIVITY:
- Approximate duration of the activity: 2 hours.
- Language: Spanish (Saturdays). English (Sundays).
- Maximum authorized group: 22 people.
- Group activity. Beginner level.
- Visits are only permitted for children over 6 years old (please bring ID/Passport).
- Be punctual. You must be at the Meeting Point, which will be the Roque de Los Muchachos Visitor Center (https://goo.gl/maps/WaonJf3zphULe6eh7), at the indicated time on your ticket.
- The courtesy waiting time will be 5 minutes. After this time, the activity will begin, and you will not be entitled to participate or receive a refund. Please allow for travel time and leave well in advance.
- If you do not arrive at the meeting point at the scheduled time, you will lose the opportunity to participate in the tour and there is no right to a refund or change of dates.
- From the meeting point, an organized and guided caravan will depart to the astrophysical complex to participate in the different visits. You must follow the guide's instructions at all times.
- Transportation is not included in the reservation. All transportation during the tour is the client's responsibility. It is essential to travel by private vehicle or taxi to the meeting point and subsequently to the telescopes to be visited.
- Please have your mobile phone working and check your messages and email. We may need to contact you at any time. Please also note that there are many areas without mobile coverage on the access road to Roque de Los Muchachos.
- The activity may be suspended due to adverse weather conditions or at the request of the management responsible for the Roque de Los Muchachos Observatory. In any case, Astronorte reserves the right to modify or cancel the activity for reasons beyond its control or due to force majeure.
- Dogs, food, and drinking are NOT permitted during the visit to the telescopes.
- The minimum capacity for this activity is 6 people. If the minimum number of guests is not reached by the closing time (12 hours before), the visit may be cancelled. We will inform you of this at the phone number provided in your reservation.
- Minors: between 6 and 12 years old. They must always be accompanied by an adult who must be present during the visit. If necessary, proof of age may be requested by presenting a valid official ID.
- You must wear appropriate warm clothing for high mountains, as well as hydration fluids.
- Please be aware of possible health problems: the observatory is located at an altitude of over 2,000 meters and may cause adverse effects such as dizziness, nausea, shortness of breath, headaches, etc. The observatory does not have medical assistance.
- Astronorte is not responsible for any health problems you may experience or suffer as a result of your stay in this area.
- There are no restrooms during the visit, so we recommend using them at the Visitor Center before the start of the activity. If you need to use the restrooms during the visit, you will have to leave the site and lose all option to continue and/or return.
- Check your vehicle's fuel level; there are no fuel pumps at the observatory. We recommend keeping your fuel tank full.
- In the event of cancellation, an alternative date will be offered and/or the amount paid will be refunded.
